Ongoing Projects

Aquatic Ecosystem for Turtles and Cichlids.

Our animal rescue organization is committed to providing the best possible care for the animals in our care. One of our latest projects is the construction of an Aquatic Ecosystem Pond for Turtles. The pond will mimic a natural habitat for the turtles, providing them with clean water, plants, and other features that will help them thrive. The pond will also allow us to care for and rehabilitate more turtles, and will provide us with a valuable tool for educating the public about the importance of protecting these animals and their habitats. The pond will be a wonderful addition to our organization and will be a great benefit to the turtles in our care.

Secure Tortoise Habitat

The project aims to build secure tortoise habitats that mimic the natural habitats of different tortoise species from different biomes. This will provide a safe and secure environment for our resident tortoises, including hatchlings and young tortoises of Sulcata, Red-foot, and Hermans species. The habitats will be designed to meet the specific needs of each species, including appropriate temperature and humidity levels, vegetation, and soil types.

The project will be divided into two phases: design and construction. The design phase will involve consulting with experts in tortoise care and habitat design to create plans that meet the needs of each species. The construction phase will involve building secure enclosures with natural elements such as rocks, logs, and plants, to mimic the tortoise's natural habitat. The enclosures will be secure and protected from predators.

Water Sustainability

Our reptile rescue located in Contra Costa County, CA, is undertaking a water conservation project to promote sustainability, ensure the well-being of the animals in our care and comply with the mandatory water restrictions due to the severe drought in California. By implementing water conservation measures, we can reduce our water usage and help conserve water resources in the region. This will not only save water but also assist in reducing the impact of the drought on the local communities. Additionally, this effort supports the efforts of local communities in protecting the environment and preserving the water resources for future generations. Water conservation is essential for the health and welfare of reptiles, and by implementing these measures we can ensure that the animals in our care have a consistent supply of clean water.

Energy Sustainability

We are undertaking a sustainable energy project to promote environmental sustainability, reduce our carbon footprint and take advantage of the abundance of sun available in California. By implementing solar energy, we can reduce our dependence on non-renewable energy sources and help conserve natural resources. This will not only save energy but also assist in reducing the impact of climate change on the local communities. Additionally, this effort supports the efforts of local communities in protecting the environment and preserving natural resources for future generations. By using solar energy, we can ensure that the energy needs of our rescue are met in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way.
